Moe'uhane has a semi-official chatroom ("conference") that uses Jabber. The room is moeuhane, and the conference server is conference.jabber.org. If you have a Jabber account online, you may be able to click this link to join. You can use any Jabber account to connect to the room, even if your account is not hosted at jabber.org.

You probably already have a Jabber account. If you have a Gmail account, then you have a Jabber account which is the same as your Gmail address (with the same password). If not, you can register an account at a Jabber server using your client.

Pidgin is the recommended chat client. You can download it at pidgin.im. If you use a computer running Mac OS X, try Adium (adiumx.com). Psi (psi-im.org) is another option. As a last resort, jwchat.org provides a browser-based chat.

You can not use Gmail's built in chat functionality or the official Google Talk client. Using Meebo is possible but strongly discouraged due to its limitations.

Instructions are available for certain clients. If you would like to contribute instructions, please send them to Auzon or post them in the forums.
The Jabber ID field in your preferences will be used in the near future to verify that your Moe'uhane name is the same as your conference nickname. It will not be publicly shown (only publicly verifiable).
